Oatmeal Latte

I originally discovered a version of this on Starbucks’ secret menu, so I’ve retooled it here. It’s an all in one breakfast - get your caffeine and breakfast fix all in one!

Serves: 1


INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup black coffee (Espresso Ideally)

1/2 cup Almond Milk (or whatever plant-milk you dig)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp dried currents

1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/2 cup blueberries fresh or frozen (unthawed)

1 small banana, sliced

1/2 oz pecans (toasted ‘em up first!

1 small apple, diced


DIRECTIONS:

Brew your coffee/espresso (or use leftover from a pot).

Add all ingredients except for fruit and nuts into mason jar, mix, and put in fridge overnight.

In the morning add the fruit and nuts, mix. Eat. Enjoy. Yeah, it’s that fucking simple.



TIPS:

Want a warm version of this? Cook your oatmeal in the milk and coffee instead of leaving it overnight.


Swap out the fruit, nuts, and dried fruit for your own favourites.
